Building a balanced body and mind, one movement at a time
Hi, I’m Hannah
Over the last few years pilates has changed my life - not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too. It's a practice that has taught me strength, balance, and most importantly self-love.
My goal is simple: to help connect with my body and breath, move with intention, and find peace in my mind and soul.
When I’m not in the studio, you’ll usually find me with my dog, Lila, or soaking up the sun at a local café, vanilla latte in one hand and a sweet treat in the other. I love slow mornings, good coffee, and any excuse to be outside, whether that’s an early morning walk, or breakfast out in the garden.
For me, life is all about balance - movement and health, love and friendship, good food and good wine, and finding beauty in the everyday. I’m passionate about creating a life that feels whole, filled with love, movement, adventure, friendships, self-discovery, and joy. It’s about finding balance, building personal strength, and connecting and building a whole world around me.
Whether you're just starting out or looking to deepen your practice, I can't wait to embark on this journey together.
Here's to building stronger bodies, calmer minds, and a deeper love for movement, together!
What is Pilates?
Classical Pilates is a movement system designed to strengthen, stretch, and balance the body through controlled, flowing exercises. It was created by Joseph Pilates, who believed that true fitness comes from connecting the mind and body. His approach, called "Contrology," focuses on breath, alignment, and full-body engagement to build strength, improve posture, and enhance overall well-being.
The holistic approach in Pilates is all about seeing the body as a whole system - connecting physical movement with mental focus and emotional well-being. It’s more than just an exercise method; it’s a way to move with awareness, balance, and strength. A holistic teaching style encourages the mind-body connection, helping to improve strength, flexibility, posture, and balance while also promoting mindfulness, stress relief, and inner focus. Rather than isolating individual muscles, Pilates works the body as a whole, creating a strong, functional, and balanced body that feels good inside and out.
