Classical Pilates
Classical Pilates is a movement system designed to strengthen, stretch, and balance the body through controlled, flowing exercises. It was created by Joseph Pilates, who believed that true fitness comes from connecting the mind and body. His approach, called "Contrology," focuses on breath, alignment, and full-body engagement to build strength, improve posture, and enhance overall well-being.
The holistic approach in Pilates is all about seeing the body as a whole system - connecting physical movement with mental focus and emotional well-being. It’s more than just an exercise method; it’s a way to move with awareness, balance, and strength. A holistic teaching style encourages the mind-body connection, helping to improve strength, flexibility, posture, and balance while also promoting mindfulness, stress relief, and inner focus.
Rather than isolating individual muscles, pilates works the body as a whole, creating a strong, functional, and balanced body that feels good inside and out.
Science of Stretching
I’m currently training to become certified in Science of Stretching - a targeted flexibility method designed to help you safely and effectively improve your range of motion.
This approach is all about using long, gentle stretches and deep breathing to work with your body, helping you release tension and feel better in your everyday life. My goal is to support you in building more ease, comfort, and mobility, so you can get back to feeling your best — whether that’s in your workouts, at your desk, or just moving through the day.
